Realism Face Exam
This project was based on the realism concepts that we learned during second semester of 9th Grade. You could also do a cubism face, which was another style learned in class. In my case I decided to make a realism face from Sergio Busquets, an FC Barcelona player. The face had to be proportional, realistic and include shading on it. We used pencil to draw it after looking at a sample image that we printed. The shadings had to be clearly done and we used the smudgier to help us define the different tones of the face. Personally I had problems with the ears and mouth but at the end after repeating them constantly I managed to do them with the help of shades and dark pencil lines.
By doing this project we learned to be careful when we add shades and lights to a drawing because each little change could create a different view for the project. I also realized that when the face is proportional and is based on a picture its more easy to do it and you get a more realistic product. Finally this project make me learn that every part of the drawing is important, you should not forget to put all details beacause it what makes it special and real.
